Terms of use

Last updated: 25 September 2026

These terms apply to your use of webdesigncolumn.com (the “site”). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. About the site

WebDesignColumn publishes articles, guides, tutorials and news about web design, WordPress, front-end development, AI and the business of websites. The site is free to read.

2. Using the site

You may read, share and link to our articles for personal and business purposes. You agree not to:

  • copy or republish our articles, images or other content in full or in large part without written permission;
  • use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download content, or to collect it for training AI models, without our written permission;
  • interfere with the site’s security or performance, or try to access areas that are not public;
  • use the site, forms or comments to send spam, malware or unlawful, abusive or misleading content;
  • impersonate anyone or misrepresent a connection with us.

3. Our content and intellectual property

Unless we say otherwise, the articles, design, logo and other content on the site belong to WebDesignColumn or are used with permission, and are protected by copyright and other laws. Quoting a short extract with a link back to the original article is fine.

Code samples: you may use the code snippets in our tutorials in your own personal and commercial projects, without attribution. They are provided “as is”, without warranty.

4. Comments and submissions

  • You are responsible for what you post. Comments must be relevant, respectful and lawful.
  • We may edit, refuse or remove any comment or submission at our discretion.
  • By submitting a comment, guest article or other material, you confirm it is your own original work (or you have permission to share it) and you give us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to publish, edit, adapt and promote it on the site, in the newsletter and on our social channels. You keep ownership of your work.

5. Accuracy and no professional advice

We research and test what we publish, but websites, software, prices and AI tools change quickly. Content is for general information only and is not professional, legal, financial or security advice. Check important details yourself before relying on them, and back up your website before following any tutorial.

6. Advertising, sponsored content and affiliate links

The site shows advertising in labelled ad slots, publishes some articles that are sponsored by partners (always labelled as sponsored), and contains affiliate links that may earn us a commission. See our affiliate disclosure and editorial policy. We are not responsible for the products, services or claims of advertisers and sponsors.

7. Third-party websites, templates and services

We link to and recommend other websites, tools and templates, including those of our partners. They are provided by their owners under their own terms, prices and privacy policies. A template or service you buy from another website is a contract between you and that provider.

8. Newsletter

If you subscribe, we will email you the newsletter until you unsubscribe using the link in any email. See our privacy policy for how we handle your email address.

9. Disclaimer

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, including that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components, or that content is complete, accurate or up to date.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, WebDesignColumn and the people who run it are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of data, revenue or profits, arising from your use of the site or its content, including code samples and tutorials. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Indemnity

If you break these terms or the law when using the site, including through anything you post, you agree to cover any reasonable claims, losses and costs that result for us.

12. Copyright complaints

If you believe content on the site infringes your copyright, email hello@webdesigncolumn.com with a link to the content, proof that you own the rights and your contact details. We will review it and remove content where appropriate.

13. Changes to the site and these terms

We may change, suspend or remove any part of the site at any time. We may update these terms; the “last updated” date at the top shows when. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

14. General

  • If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
  • If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
  • These terms, together with our privacy policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about using the site.
  • Disputes are governed by the laws that apply where WebDesignColumn is operated, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.

15. Contact
